Mathematical practices
The following are the mathematical practices that appear on our Cyberschool Report Card each quarter along with student friendly "I Can" statements.
- Make sense of a problem and creates a plan to solve it - I can make a plan, called a strategy, to solve the problem and discuss other students' strategies too.
- Perseveres in solving problems - I can try many times to understand and solve a math problem.
- Attends to detail using precise math words/symbols and works carefully and accurately - I can check to see if my strategies and calculations are correct.
- Explains mathematical thinking orally and in written form to justify why the answer makes sense - I can explain my thinking verbally or in writing.
